Mid-Tier Brand

AEG Appliance Installation Service in South Florida

AEG appliance installation starts with a question other brands never raise: how did this machine get here? There is no US retail line. Each one arrived with an owner relocating, specified into a European kitchen by a designer, or through an importer — into a condo cabinet opening measured for it. Never a routine swap.

Power is the real issue. AEG builds for 230V at 50 Hz; an American house supplies 60 Hz. A transformer lifts voltage and does nothing to frequency — the motor then spins about a fifth fast, shifting spin speeds, cycle timing and element staging. The Schuko power cord carries no US listing either. No adapter fixes that; a certified technician fits a cord and termination an inspector will accept.

Then certification. A European appliance carries CE marking — a manufacturer's declaration of conformity, not a UL or ETL listing. On a hardwired oven or hood that stops being academic: an inspector wants a listing before the permit closes, and condo association vendor rules and insurers sit behind the same line. Process

How It Works

Four steps from your call to a working appliance.

01

Tell us the backstory

Call, text, or use the form. Say where the appliance came from and where it's going — free quote follows.

02

Photograph the rating plate

Voltage, frequency and certification marks are all printed there. Two minutes on a photo saves a wasted trip charge.

03

AEG installation day

Old unit hauled away if there is one. Machine set and levelled. Connections made only where they can be made right.

04

Full cycle before we go

Nothing signed off without a test run — connections watched under load, controls walked through, packaging and debris out with us.

What makes us different

Built for a 600 mm Module,
Not a 24-Inch Opening

European kitchens run 600 mm modules under an 850 mm worktop. The cabinet opening is just under 23⅝ inches; the worktop sits an inch and a half below a 36-inch American counter.

Not quite 24Six hundred millimetres is narrower than a nominal American twenty-four.

Height, not widthA US machine stands taller than the hole it fills.

Fronts don't moveHinge patterns, brackets and panel weights belong to one machine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Flat quote per appliance type, agreed before work starts. Imported units are the exception: the free quote comes after the assessment, not before, because the price depends on what actually turns up and what the space is allowed to take. Guessing at that number helps nobody.

Sometimes — and you'll know which before we charge for a visit. An imported appliance that suits American supply and carries an accepted listing gets connected properly and passes inspection. One that doesn't isn't something we'll hardwire and put our name to. Rather say that on the phone.

No. European inlet hoses use a different thread standard — close enough that the fitting starts turning, then binds and cross-threads. Force it and the valve is what gets damaged, not the hose. New hoses with the correct American fittings go on every time.

They come from Europe, and the lead time runs in weeks rather than days — there's no service network behind these machines on this side. That wait is usually the moment an owner decides whether the unit stays in service or gets replaced.

Almost never. One cabinet opening usually absorbs the difference: a filler panel at the side, a plinth adjustment underneath, a trim piece at the top. Adapting one opening beats rebuilding a run, and the rest of the cabinetry stays where it is.

About Us

IO Appliance Service opened in 2010 and has finished 5,000+ jobs since, with 100+ five-star reviews behind them. Imported kitchens come across our schedule often enough that the crew reads them quickly. And we'd rather turn a job down on the phone than take money for one that can't be finished properly.

We cover Broward, Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties. Installation work comes with a 90-day warranty from us. Because the vans carry standard install hardware, most jobs close on the first visit rather than a second appointment three days out. Book online and pick a time.
