LG stacks and pedestals follow their own rules. A SideKick pedestal washer only runs underneath an LG front-load washer — never a dryer — and it shares one standpipe with the main machine through a Y-connector.

A washer and dryer onto sound existing hookups is usually inside ninety minutes. A refrigerator needing a water line run to it takes longer. So does a laundry center going into a closet where the vent has to be rerouted first. The quote tells you which one you've got.
Almost certainly not. The default setting produces one batch of three spheres roughly every 24 hours, six in the faster mode, and the first batch can take a day or two after the water line goes on. Give the ice maker time before calling it a fault.
